Responsible Growth
The latest trend in our town is the “build-to-rent” mass single-family home developments encroaching in city centers and Covington’s historic district. Reviewing current zoning and replacing vague ordinances and definitions will tighten regulations that currently allow interpretations to be used in ways that do not necessarily benefit the community. The American dream of homeownership is threatened by an imbalance of multi-family dwellings that burden schools, 911 operations, roads, and the overall infrastructure of our city.
